  • An Animal Kingdom

    Al Molaison

    eBook
I like knowing about animals. And I like sharing the animal stories with young readers. Mostly, this book gives facts about some animals in a story form. Many of these animals can be found in Yellowstone Park. I was tempted to use only the animals living there. But I live in Louisiana, and I wanted readers to know about the alligator snapping turtle. We use it to make turtle soup. And it is a tasty dish! There are many kinds of pelicans spread around our costal areas, and I enjoyed learning about the brown pelican when I was a young reader. I hope you do too.Ever wonder how horses came to America? The section on the mustang will answer the question.I worry that one day the animals we grew up reading about will be gone. We won't be able to visit a wilderness or a costal shore and actually see them. So the more animals that I can introduce to more readers, the less likely this loss will happen. If you want more animal stories, check out Big Bad Tiger---The American Buffalo---Deadly American Snakes--- Birds, Beasts and Reptiles.
